I have been involved in graphic design since 2000. I started off in high school designing logos for friends and small businesses in my area. Soon after graduating High School, I started CS Grafix. What started off as a simple name for my graphic design work soon blossomed into a successful freelance graphic design, marketing and photography business. After completing College, an introduction to the corporate world in 2006 with Raya Designs propelled my skills and experience even further. From there I worked for Inductors Inc. as their Sr. Graphic Designer and Photographer. During my three years at Inductors I learned a lot about B2B marketing and advertising, but soon decided B2C was my preferred craft. In May of 2011 I joined Ironclad Performance Wear as their Marketing and Art Director. I worked closely under their VP of Marketing, Shawn Norfolk. He was a mentor to me and introduced me to the world of branding and taught me the true meaning of marketing and the battle for consumer's minds. After a little over three years at Ironclad, the company relocated to Texas. I decided to stay in California and pursued a new opportunity at EVS Sports as their new Creative Director. A year and a half later, I felt the desire to work with larger scale brands and landed an ACD role at Fuse Interactive, an ad agency handling all creative for Kawasaki Motors Corporation. Less than three years into my new role, I was promoted to CD and put in charge of all things brand related for Kawasaki.
Vice President, Marketing at Ironclad Performance Wear
Chris was an incredible employee and leader. Our company moved from California to Texas, and Chris was not in a position to make the move. I did everything short of kidnapping him in order to get him to move. His vision, graphic design skillset, ability to pivot rapidly and 100% execution made him an incredibly valuable asset to our team. He played an intricate role-not only from a creative director perspective, but his complete understanding of marketing and how marketing works internally and externally made him even more valuable. Chris was an A+ employee and an even better person. He deserves the highest of all recommendations. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
